About this Course

Enjoy a world-famous, nationally-affiliated, and disciplined training program of swimming, running, competition, and education. This popular program includes strenuous daily workouts, water safety, first aid, surf lifesaving, marine education, lifeguard competitions, and more. Physical fitness and development are balanced with self-esteem and camaraderie. Strong swimming skills a must. All new participants are required to pass a non-competitive 100-meter swim in 2:20 or less, a 15-yard underwater swim, and 4 minutes treading water. Swim Test: May 5th, 2 p.m at Los Baños del Mar Swimming Pool located at 401 Shoreline Drive. Additional testing will be conducted for all participants the first day of the program at East Beach. Placement is based on age as of July 1 of the current calendar year.
